Bob & Liane,
I know, I know, I haven’t been so good at translating everything that Jean writes everyday. I am sorry. The big text of yesterday was Jean making fun of me (what else is new?) regarding our first time feeding Noah. Let’s just say that I didn’t think the food looked too good, I didn’t think what they were feeding him was good enough, they have no bibs, no baby spoons etc. And I almost strangled the lady who showed us how to feed Noah. You should have seen her. My baby couldn’t breathe 2 seconds and a half between each bite! While my head understands that these ladies have 4-5 babies to feed and they can’t take 30 minutes per child to feed them, my heart didn’t appreciate it nevertheless. I know the ladies are kind and love the children (you can see that they do), it’s just that I am anxious to get him with us full time and devote all my time to him and not rush him so much to eat.
Today is the 15th day (and last) of the official bonding period! Woohoo! That means we get to go to pre-court (tomorrow hopefully) and then, 2 days later, we get to go to court. Noah will be officially our baby then and we can bring him home to the apartment. We can’t wait.
We are keeping a good morale (as you can only imagine, Jean is doing a good job at that). I don’t think I am doing that bad, it’s just that I am silent a lot of the times. Did you get the idea that we are bored? There is NOTHING to do here. NOTHING. And French Canadians that we are, we don’t get to eat the good good food that we are accustomed to. Ok, I don’t mean you guys don’t eat well. I just mean that being latin, food is an experience for us. We really enjoy it. Well let me say that Liane, you would miss it, and Bob, we know you just eat to stay alive. The number of times that Jean and I have talked about what we are going to eat when we get home. It’s a joke.
We also miss our family and friends. We will be anxious to laugh and talk with everyone when we get back.
And last but not least, yours truly will be anxious to take her long baths. Yes, yes, I will still take baths even when I have a baby. =) I have to say that I thank my lucky stars everyday as we have hot water. So we can take hot showers everyday and that in itself is great as some of the couples here didn’t have water for 8 days straight. So baths are superficial. Showers are what we need to be thankful for. And I am, believe me.
Noah is quite anxious to see his summer house in the US. We have talked to him a lot about it.
Take care you guys.
Love,
Kim, Jean and Noah
Salut Crew!
Bye Crew.

Dernière journée de visites limitées...yé! Noah va être tellement bien avec vous. Hang in there. Vous y êtes presque!
Thank you for the update!! I can't imaging how long this whole process must feel for you. It will be a great day when you can take Noah back to your apartment, and have him full time. I can't wait to hear all of the stories! We are anxiously awaiting your visit to your summer home (which has a new kitchen!!)
